Deep Dish Brownies

Make sure not to overcook!

3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or peanut butter chips
3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Heat oven to 350 degrees(F). Grease square pan, 8x8x2 inches. In medium mixing bowl, blend melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs; beat well with spoon. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in chips. Spread into prepared pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely; cut into squares. Makes about 16 brownies.
