Roque Leonardi survived much as he left his native Italy, married in Menorca, worked nine years on the Turnbull Plantation in New Smyrna, Florida, and worked his own property and wine store for 13 years.
He finally died an ignominious death when he drown in 1801.
He must have been a man of great strength and ability.
